May 2026 update

Please note that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has temporarily removed its Pre-Trial Therapy guidance while it undergoes a comprehensive review in light of the new Home Office Code of Practice. We are working closely with the CPS during this process to ensure that our own guidance is updated accordingly. We will publish revised guidance on this page as soon as it is available. Our evidence-based resources are designed to support delivery of quality pre-trial services in accordance with CPS Guidelines and our Best Practice National Standards.
