Network Events

Our first network event – 23rd January 2024 10am-12pm For our first network event, we will be focussing on how the CPS guidelines are applied when supporting those who demonstrate sexually harmful behaviour. The CPS guidelines focus currently on how to support victims of crime, but how do the guidelines apply when you are supporting the alleged perpetrator of that crime? We want to hear about your experiences in practice when working with harmful sexual behaviour in peer-to-peer, online and sibling sexual abuse. We will be considering the challenges of working pre-trial and what additional guidance and support you need. There will be an opportunity to hear from leading experts delivering support services for those who demonstrate sexually harmful behaviours. We will gather current practice in the network, as well as issues and practice challenges, with a view to creating some new Bluestar resources focusing on HSB; which we will test out at a follow up network event in April 2024 with colleagues from the police, CPS, youth justice experts and barristers.
